Struggling with those pesky homework sheets. Well this is the place to come for some tips and help.
Homework Help for 4.2 sheet week 2
31/ Find the relationship between black and white sheep in any given total.
2 out 5 sheep are black so for every 5 sheep 1 extra is black. You need 8 more black sheep than white 8 x 5 =

32/ You need to make an organised list of the available options. Then make B=Boys and G = Girls. There is one option for three girls and two boys that fits in both criteria.

33/ Assume that the original price of each shirt is $100. Calculate the discount for each deal and compare the results.
eg:  . 25 x 200 = 50 so 200 - 50 = 150 the do the same for 3 shirts but x by .3

Homework help for 5.1 week 2
31/ Use guess and check with numbers divisible by 3 or use algebra to help solve the problem.
  • Let M represent Mariam's age. So M/3 = 75/M (cross multiply), so M Squared = 75 x 3, M=square root of 225 so M =15

32/ Distance traveled = speed x time
At what speed are they moving apart? Draw a diagram to help. Kim and Trevor are moving away at 6 + 8 = 14km/h. So 21 = 14 x t so T= 21/14

33/ Start with the M and A. Work at the units column first. Use trial and error. Relevant hints form the GOD clue are G=6, O=0 and D=5.
